The Character of Iago   â In Othello, by William Shakespeare, one of the most charming characters is Iago. From the outset he is by all accounts unadulterated malevolence, yet I think his activities are considerably more mind boggling. This character is overwhelmed by jealousy and double dealing that prompts robbery and slaughtering.
